Master's Word - End of 2015 Message
Thank you all for celebrating this extraordinary year of building connections and promoting civility. The year has been replete with examples of camaraderie and growth within our lodge and in the broader community. Some of the highlights from the year thus far include:
As a striking example of the strengthening connections among Lodges in Oakland and Alameda, the sitting masters of four of the local Lodges attended a third degree at Live Oak No. 61 last month for a candidate whose masonic journey touched Oakland Durant Rockridge Lodge No 188 at every step – including our community service projects.
In addition to serving in the community this year with our hands, 100% of our officers donated to the California Masonic Philanthropies. Our Lodge also donated to a number of other very important causes, including:
As the year draws to a close, I’m looking forward to our installation on December 19th, and the Feast of St. John on December 27th.
In closing, I would like to reiterate my thanks for your support – not only for all of the extraordinary events this year, but also for keeping the Lodge running like clockwork while I was away in September to welcome our daughter into the world.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
